   Nice. Was it difficult to take this undetected? That was the hardest thing for me with people shots – feeling like a stalker!

   There’s a few tricks I use to get photos like this. One, is be really fast. Another is ignore the viewfinder, use a fairly wide angle and don’t look like you’re taking a photo. Sometimes you can make it look like you’re reviewing photos. These are all much easier if you’re far enough away or in a noisy area.

   Take it one step further and use some magic. Look like someone who isn’t taking photos. I’m sure I could sit there for a whole day taking photos of people if I was also noisily talking to Kate and showing her photos of “dolphins” and “kiwis” every two minutes.

   For this one, the camera was sitting on the table in front of me while we were waiting for food. It compromised the shot a little, I’d have liked to have the frame run a little bit lower. But I took only one shot to avoid suspicion.
